Activities
Beach Days
A large safe sandy beach is the centre of activity in any traditional Canadian Cottage resort vacation. Our beach is second to none! We have a floating swim raft and water trampoline which are popular for both young and old. Bring your beach towel and toys and spend those sunny summer days on the shore of Oxtongue Lake.
Boating
Enjoy a sunny day boating on Oxtongue Lake. Our cottage rental rates include use of canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and SUPs. We provide life jackets and bail buckets as well. You are welcome to bring your own if you prefer and we have a place at the beach where guests can store their private boats.
Children's Play Area
Whether on land or in the Lake, The Pines has a safe place for your children to play. The Pines Cottage Resort has an children’s play area for swinging, sliding and climbing.
Fishing
Take a canoe or sit at the end of the dock and try your luck. Oxtongue Lake offers great fishing. Hook a smallmouth Bass or Lake Trout. Please bring your own fishing rod and license.
Summer Programming
During the months of July and August we provide fun activities for all the kids to join in. Every week we provide an outdoor movie night experience, a craft where the kids can be creative and our famous ice cream social event for all The Pines guests!
And There's More
A great campfire at night, horseshoes for the novice and expert as well as a badminton net to bring out your competitive side. All of this adds up to an unforgettable vacation stay.
